A friend emailed the Crone this morning to report that her mother had been moved to an “existential nursing home”. She later wrote with a correction–she meant residential, not existential. The Crone though thinks she had it right the first time–and feels for all those elderly individuals striving to create meaning in an unknowable, chaotic, and seemingly empty universe.
